Rather than having a separate chart for noting down important information, Annotations allow you to place a marker on the chart, which when hovered over, will expand to display more detailed content. When printed, the contents of the annotation appears below chart.
Charts that include Annotations can be printed to PDF or Word in a clean and simple layout with the Annotation markers displayed on the chart and the text displayed below.
Applying a Chart Annotation
To apply an Annotation to your chart, go to the Actions bar on the left-hand side of the program window, and locate this icon:
Left-click the Annotation icon to select, and then left-click on the chart in the required location on the chart.
A blank annotation will be added to the chart.
Adding Information to an Annotation
Once the Annotation has been applied to the chart, you can add notes by hovering your mouse cursor over the annotation icon. After a second, a window will display which you can add text into.
This same process can be used to edit / add additional information to the annotation.
