What are Optuma's Watchlists?

Watchlists started as a spreadsheet used to view a lot of tickers at once. Over time as new features have been added, Optuma Watchlists evolved to become a key chart and are now used as a personalised dashboard.

  • No Limits: Watchlists can display tickers for a small Portfolio, all the way up to the Russell 3000 and more.

  • Completely customisable: Watchlists have access to hundreds of price-based and fundamental metrics. Watchlists can be set up with powerful Optuma scripts to produce custom columns. You can set up your own ranking system with colour-coded, custom text labels.

  • Big Picture to Laser Focus in seconds: Move easily between a high-level view of your entire portfolio to specific analysis for individual securities. The multi-sort feature ensures the tickers that matter the most to your trading system will always appear at the top of the list, ready for more detailed analysis.

Technicals are all about visualizing data and Optuma clearly has the most advanced graphics of all technical platforms. The use of “layers” allows a user to organize and manipulate data in ways that are impossible with other software programs. I use this product every day to help manage various portfolios and I encourage everyone to try it out.

Benefits of Using Watchlists

Whether you’re managing a small portfolio as a private trader or reviewing hundreds of asset classes across multiple exchanges as a professional analyst, a customised Optuma Watchlist provides the best option to quickly access all the necessary information you need.

Handles Data in Any Timeframe: Optuma Watchlists can handle data in any timeframe, whether you are interested in daily, weekly, monthly, or real-time data. The values can be displayed in any timeframe you have access to.

Always Up To Date: Optuma Watchlists can be linked to Symbol Lists, for example S&P500 constituents. These are updated regularly to handle membership changes making sure you always work with the latest information.

Pre-Filtered Data: Optuma Watchlists can also be linked to scans set up with any criteria across a large database. Each time the Watchlist is opened, only those tickers passing your criteria will be listed. You will spend less time searching for the right securities and more time implementing your trading strategy.
