Will my MA7 or MA8 files work in Optuma?

Yes, all your existing MA7/MA8 workbooks, templates, scans, layouts, etc. will work in Optuma. [If you are using MA4 or MA6 see here](/kb/troubleshooting-and-faqs/faqs/will-my-ma4-or-ma6-files-work-with-optuma-). In fact, if you install Optuma on the same system that you have MA7/MA8 currently installed, Optuma will automatically make a duplicate copy of your existing workbooks and settings and convert them to the new Optuma format. When you first log into Optuma all your workbooks, custom tools, etc. will be available to you. As both MA7/MA8 and Optuma are separate programs, you will be able to access MA7/MA8 and Optuma on the same system, just not simultaneously. ***Note**: If you do create a workbook (or update an existing workbook) in Optuma, this will not be backwards compatible, i.e. you won't be able to use the Optuma workbook in MA7.*
