How do I disable the automatic data downloads?

By Optuma Team · Updated 2021-01-28

If you are subscribed to Optuma’s end-of-day data by default the data will automatically download when new data is available (approximately 2 hours after the market’s close).

However, it is possible to disable this and make the data download on demand. This means that the data will only download and update when the chart (or watchlist) is opened.

NOTE: this is not recommended for exchanges on which you run scans as the most recent data may not have been downloaded, giving incorrect results

To disable the automatic downloads, click the My Account link on the welcome screen when you log in to Optuma to be taken to a webpage, and click on the Products section on the left of the screen. Alternatively, sign it to your account page here using the same username and password as for Optuma:

My Optuma Account

Scroll down to the Data section and move the sliders to the left for those exchanges you don’t wish to automatically download. The changes will come in to effect the next time you log in to Optuma.
