By default when you select a tool from this list it will be applied to your charts using the same settings as the previously applied tool. For example if you have a Moving Average added to your custom tool bar, with the colour set to Black and 50% transparency, the MRU will remember these settings and use them for the newly applied tool, rather than your standard Moving Average default settings.

You can adjust the MRU to always use the default settings of a tool, regardless of the settings previously applied via General Settings…
