CBOE Indices Data

By Optuma Team · Updated 2022-08-25

In early 2019 the CBOE changed the pricing and licencing terms & conditions for End of Day data distribution with a “per client” fee now being charged for each person accessing indices they provide, including S&P500 Volatility Index (VIX), and the 5, 10, & 30 year Treasury Yields (FVX, TNX and TYX).

As a result the CBOE Index data can not be used as one of your free data selections included with your service level. The cost of the CBOE Indices data group is $25 per month, so adding this exchange to your subscription will increase the cost of your service, including clients on a Lifetime Services subscription.

Note that the cost will be pro-rated depending on your next billing date, so if you have 3 months left on your subscription you will be billed $75 to add the CBOE Indices.

To add the CBOE Indices data to your account click the My Account link on the welcome screen when you log in to Optuma, or click here to sign in:

My Account Page

On your account page, navigate to the Products page, and select Modify Exchanges under the Data Products section and select CBOE Indices, and click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to generate the invoice.

Once payment has been confirmed, restart Optuma and download the historical data when prompted.
