Terminology differences
Section titled “Terminology differences”A few concepts have different names between the two apps:
- Workbooks (Desktop) → Workspaces (Web), both refer to the saved set of boards/pages you have open.
- Watchlists (Desktop) → Collections / Custom Lists (Web), Web splits the concept into curated lists (Collections) and your own lists (Custom Lists).
- Charting Page (Desktop) → Board (Web), the container for a set of related charts.
What’s in Web that isn’t in Desktop
Section titled “What’s in Web that isn’t in Desktop”- Flows, a visual node editor for building Model logic. Scripts you’d otherwise write by hand can be assembled by wiring nodes together. Available only in the Web App.
- Native cloud sync, your layouts, lists, models, and saved scans follow you across devices automatically.
- Sharing, share Boards, Models, Scans, and Custom Lists with other Optuma users by link or by user.
