Using Optuma with a Bloomberg Datafeed
by OptumaOct 20, 2020
For Enterprise Services clients with access to a Bloomberg Professional Terminal Optuma has several additional features, such as linking directly to your Bloomberg portfolios, drilling down in to GICs levels, and plotting Bloomberg data fields.
Hi Darren;
The earning icon, is only for Bloomberg service?
Thank you.
Hi Roberto,
At this stage – we are looking to see if we can add it for our Optuma EOD data too.
All the best
Mathew
The ability to monitor portfolios and access data fields from Bloomberg within Optuma has been a game changer for us. Will there be any ability to access the BQL functionality into Optuma?
Hi Duke,
It won’t work yet, but this is something we are looking at. Supporting it will require a significant change to the way we access Bloomberg data, but we see that it would also drop API hits which will be important for those who hit API limits.
All the best
Mathew
Bloomberg portfolio IDs…. where are they placed to link the portfolio in watchlist. you did not show how to link them. Thanks.
Hi Brian,
It is done by creating a new symbol list and linking it to the Bloomberg Portfolio. Some more information is at the bottom of this page https://help.optuma.com/kb/faq.php?id=612
